About me
Hi, I'm Zoe, a naturopath and herbalist who takes a compassionate, holistic approach to health. My aim is to help you restore balance and harmony in your body, mind and spirit, and to encompass all aspects of life where there may be imbalance. My focus is not just on symptom relief but on understanding the bigger picture, answering the questions, running the tests and most of all, educating my clients on what may benefit their bodies and often, how their bodies work. Always in collaboration with you.
Often, recommendations will be herbal medicine, targeted natural supplements, and dietary and lifestyle adjustments to support the body’s innate ability to heal. Many times I will refer to other specialists for further support. My aim is to empower you and your own autonomy in your health journey.
My biggest clinical passion is to support women through their changing cycles, particularly with hormone and cycle dysregulation, and preconception/pregnancy and post partum journeys. Helping women understand the reasons for miscarriage and investigate for future success, whilst managing grief, is of particular interest to me. With that also comes supporting men or partners also in achieving the best outcomes of pregnancy and family planning. I have a strong focus on postpartum care, supporting women after childbirth in recovering their mental, physical and emotional health through optimising their nutrition, and healing the body with traditional herbal medicines.
After struggling with multiple health issues throughout my life, including dysbiosis, food intolerances, fibromylagia, acne, menstrual irregularities, miscarriages, PMS, PMDD, iron deficiency and so much more. I found my journey of health firstly through food. I connected the dots of food triggers, with symptoms and changed my diet forever. I gradually learned more about myself and to be more in tune with my cycle. I learnt through Naturopathy the impact that diet, stressors, exercise and our thoughts can have on our overall health.
Throughout my journey, I discovered my passion for gardening and growing herbal medicine. I found the joy of living again, the connection our ancestors had with nature lit a spark in me. I realised that medicine had more to do with lifestyle, and living our purpose, and aligning with the natural world more than it did simply with food alone. I find real excitement in making herbal medicines from the plants I grow to use as my own home apothecary. I am plant based (vegan) and have been for over 8 years now and eating in a way that supports sustainability and health is a win for me.
I am passionate about education and community herbalism, believing that knowledge is power. I teach wild food and medicine foraging, and herbal alchemy workshops including herbal preparations and food as medicine.
Sustainability and ethical sourcing are at the core of my practice and I have a deep reverence for the Earth, ensuring that herbs and natural resources are used responsibly. My philosophy follows the ethos of taking no more than what is given in return.
